Originality Technique ImpactBeautiful work.The light and shadows provide a dreamlike quality, while the focus is sharp and clear. The model, centered in the composition, draws the viewer in, welcoming a closer look, an embrace.
The pose is classic,evoking romance and serenity at once; the rumpled sheets speak of comfort and warmth. The window, to the model's left, shows a bit of light - whether it is the start of a new day, and new beginnings, or the last remains of the day past is left to the viewer's imagination.
While the model is on her knees, she is not in supplication, but in a very actionable position - whether the action is to lay back into the bed, or rise to face the viewer is again for the viewer's own mind to take.
